Overview
This COBIT®5 Foundation training course enables delegates to gain knowledge and understanding of the COBIT5 guidance, understand the enterprise governance and management of enterprise IT, and create awareness with their business executives and senior IT management. It provides the student with a foundation understanding of the essential aspects of COBIT5 and to prepare them for the COBIT5 Foundation Certificate examination.
Who Should Attend
This course is for business managers, chief executives, IT/IS auditors, internal auditors, information security and IT practitioners; consultants, IT/IS managers requiring an insight into the enterprise governance of IT and eventual certification as a COBIT5 Implementer or assessor. There is no specific pre-requisite for this course

- Key elements of Governance of Enterprise IT (based on ISO 38500)
- Five main principles of COBIT®5
- Seven enablers (Principle, processes, organization, culture, information, service, people)
- Introduction to the seven steps for implementation
- Introduction to process capability assessment (based on ISO 15504)
- Prepares delegates for the COBIT®5 Foundation examination (APMG)
Course Structure
Classroom: Classroom: This is an instructor-led classroom (physical or virtual) based course that uses a combination of lectures, group discussions, assignments and sample exams to reinforce the key learning topics, and is based on ISACA guidelines as documented in the COBIT®5 Framework for Business (available for purchase or PDF download separately)
Professional Qualification
The COBIT5 Foundation Certificate, which is a pre-requisite for both the COBIT5 Implementation certificate and the COBIT5 Assessor certificate. The format for the exam paper is 50 multiple-choice questions. It is a supervised, closed-book exam – the duration of which is normally a maximum of 40 minutes if taken in the delegate’s native language
